Gwrych Castle For I'M A Celebrity

The TV show I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here takes celebrities and drops them in the Australian Jungle (Welsh Castle) to live communally and without luxuries.

I'm A Celebrity is scheduled to start mid-November.

Betting on I'm A Celebrity will be available, these odds come from all the major online bookmakers.

I'm a Celeb removes celebrities from their cushy comfort zones while testing their physical and mental abilities, + their fears, and resilience.

Previous series have seen up to 13 Celebrities leave their cosseted life behind and live communally in the Australian jungle for up to 22 days.

Who Will Win I'm A Celebrity This Year?

There have been 11 Kings of the jungle and 9 Queens of the jungle. In recent years the Queens hold the upper hand, with 5 wins in the last 6 years.

The show is filmed in a controlled environment with some man-made features and is hosted by the popular duo Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly.

The Celebrities take part in Bushtucker Trials and Dingo Dollar Challenges most days to earn food and extra treats for their fellow campmates.

The viewers have the ultimate power in the show as they vote for who competes in the trials, who leaves the camp, and who is eventually crowned King or Queen of the Jungle/Castle.

There are a number of betting markets throughout the show, but the following are the most popular

  • Show Winner/Runner Up
  • Top Male/Female
  • Next Out

I'm A Celebrity Eviction Betting

Ahead of each eviction of a campmate, the bookmakers offer betting odds on who will be next to leave.

Bookmakers

The online bookmakers are often cagey on their initial betting, but as soon as the celebrities are in the camp, you will see a massive change in the betting.

In 2018 Harry Redknapp went in the Jungle at double-figure odds, but by day two he was a short-priced favourite, Harry went on to win easily, with nearly 70% of the public vote.

In 2020 Shane Ritchie was the original favourite, however, he missed out on the final.

Occupations at Time of Winning

  • 4 Soap Stars/Actors or Actresses
  • 3 Reality-TV
  • 5 Singers/Band Members
  • 3 Sportsmen/Women (ex)
  • 4 (Other)

The Singers/Band Members lead the way, but you can clearly see the emergence of the Reality TV and Soap Stars in recent years.

One thing is for sure, the politicians have generally struggled.

The theory behind this is that they all have huge social media following before entering the jungle or were already household names.

What is more or less guaranteed is that the winner will see a resurgence or continuation of their career, with magazine deals, TV appearances, and lucrative commercial deals.

I'm A Celebrity History

I’m a Celeb has graced the UK TV screens since 2002

Since then, no less than 10 countries across the globe have followed suit and aired their own version of the show.

ITV have extended their contract to 2022 such is the popularity of the show.

It has averaged over 9 million viewers in each series, peaking at 12.14 million in 2018.

The contestants are paid a fee for entering the jungle, but they also name charities to which ITV donate some of the income from revenue raised throughout the show.

I 'm A Celebrity Trials

The campmates take part in a range of trials to earn rewards for themselves and their campmates (+ entertain us!!)

These Bushtucker Trials can be mental or physical challenges or they can be eating challenges to win stars.

These trials can really test the celebrities' innermost fears.

These can include trials with rats, snakes, bugs, spiders, and much much more.

They can be underground, in the air, or underwater.

Food In The Jungle

Each star won in a Bushtucker Trial can be exchanged for much-needed food.

The eating and drinking challenges are notorious and have seen the celebrities eat such things as animal testicles, mealworms, grubs, and cockroaches.

Each star won is a meal for camp. If no stars are won, the camp will be on rice and beans until the next trial.

The Dingo Dollar Challenges are more fun-based and designed to take two celebs out of the camp to win the Dollars and have a chance to win treats or luxuries for the camp.

This helps stem the boredom of camp and lifts spirits if the crucial question is answered correctly.

I'm A Celebrity Earnings

It is expected that all those who appear will benefit and not just from the appearance fee.

Just being on the TV each night for 3 weeks will naturally raise the profile.

Accepting The Invitation

Appearing on I'm A Celebrity nearly always raises the profile of the campmate.

Many of the celebrity campmates will also increase their social media following on:

  • Instagram
  • Tik-Tok
  • Twitter
  • Facebook
  • Snapchat

This increase in social media will do their careers no harm.

Most of the celebrities whether they leave the camp early or make it all the way will boost their earning potential from:

  • I'm a Celebrity Appearance Fee
  • Advertising spots
  • Product endorsements
  • Increased social media following
  • Talk show opportunities
  • Voiceover work
  • Punditry

Conclusion

From an explosive no expense spared start, too late arrivals, and those deciding to walk, or being removed from the camp, it’s a rollercoaster of a ride.

There is always laughter, tears, romance, and or bromance, and no doubt plenty of controversies.

I'm A Celebrity Romance or Bromance?

Spending an extended period of time together can forge long term relationships, as we have seen in the past.

The favourite at the start doesn’t always win.

The winner will be the one the public takes into their hearts.

It will be the one who faces their fears, brings home the stars and forms the unbreakable bonds within the camp and with the voting public.

Yes, it does help if you are a household name, but if you have the right game plan you can still take the  I'm A Celebrity Crown.
