  • Regé-Jean Page the 11/4 favourite to take over from Daniel Craig
  • Previous favourite Idris Elba now out to 9/2 to be the next Bond
  • Lashana Lynch 7/1 to be a female Bond in the famous series

Regé-Jean Page favourite in the next James Bond market!

Bridgerton star Regé-Jean Page is 11/4 to be the next James Bond, with bookmakers making him the favourite to take over from Daniel Craig.

Page has been an ever present in the market since his big breakout role in Bridgerton, in which his role as Simon Basset saw him nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award.

Next James Bond Actor Odds Probability
Rege-Jean Page 11/4 26.7%
Tom Hardy 4/1 20%
Idris Elba 9/2 18.2%
James Norton 11/2 15.4%
Lashana Lynch 7/1 12.5%

Tom Hardy is second favourite in the betting market to be the next Bond, with the British actor known for his roles in action movies.

Reports have suggested though that the movie makers want the next Bond to be young enough to do at least 3 films in the franchise.

At 44 years of age, it might be that Tom Hardy is too old for the role now.

Regé-Jean Page is the new favourite to be the next James Bond, with odds of 11/4 with bookmakers suggesting there's a strong chance of him doing so!

Idris Elba drifting in next Bond market

Idris Elba has long since been a frontrunner in the next James Bond betting market, but has drifted over the last few weeks.

This again could be due to the age of Elba, with the soon to be 50 year old maybe too old for 3 or 4 Bond films in his career.

James Norton is another actor who features in the market and he could well be in the running for the role.

At 36 years of age, he'd be 2 years younger than Daniel Craig was in Casino Royale, his first Bond movie.

No Time To Die actress Lashana Lynch at 7/1

Lashana Lynch stars in Daniel Craig's last Bond film, No Time To Die.

Playing the role of Nomi, she is the latest 007 agent in the film and stars alongside Craig who is a retired spy in the film.

Despite Lynch playing a completely different character to Bond in the films, she still features in the betting market among the 12 main actors who could play James Bond

Surely that would be near impossible though in terms of the Bond story.

Lashana Lynch still features in the betting market at 7/1 to be the next James Bond, despite starring in No Time To Die as the new 007 agent.
