El Burhan is a strong contender, having shown promise in previous races and is expected to perform well with Jim Crowley on board. Miami Matrix, despite some late-race issues, could excel at Chester due to a favourable draw. Sweet Fantastic is predicted to have a good chance, carrying less weight and showing solid previous form. Supido and Our Mighty Mo are the frontrunners, with Supido having a slight edge despite top weight. Tipsters recommend focusing on El Burhan for a win and Miami Matrix for a strong performance at Chester.

After competing in 3 maiden races, this gelding demonstrated significant improvement by winning an 8-runner handicap at Kempton in March, thanks to a skillful ride. He followed that performance with a 5th place finish at Lingfield, but now faces a challenge as he transitions to turf from the same rating. He is one of 3 entries from this successful stable, but I believe this 3-year-old, with the jockey's 3lb claim, presents excellent value at 22/1 for an each-way bet.

Lightly raced and progressive, El Burhan was well supported in the market when third in a strong handicap at Goodwood. He’s shown a 50% win rate from four starts and was only beaten 1¾ lengths last time while carrying market expectations. The first-time tongue-tie could sharpen him up further. With Jim Crowley booked and solid prior novice form, he looks primed to go close off a workable mark on return.

The 3yo has 1 win from 4. Excuses on his last start - heavy ground. His best run was his third start when beaten 4L in a Listed contest, beaten by three runners now rated 104, 107, and 108. Unexposed, and his opening handicap mark of 93 on his return is looking very handy.

Miami Matrix has hung right late on in both his runs at Wolverhampton, but he could go well at Chester. Drawn in stall 2 for a prominent position near the rail throughout, his challenge could wait for the cutaway where the leading horses spread out across the track at Chester.

The model I run suggests Sweet Fantastic can get the nose in front for this one. Steps out with the highest RPR of the 9 runners field and carries the second least amount of weight around this 7f trip. Previous form of 1, 3, 4, so knows how to get near the top by the finish line.

No real draw bias over the 7.5f track here. However, there is an advantage for front runners. Looks like it will be fairly slowly run with only really two making the pace in Supido and Our Might Mo. Had decent runs last season, including 10/20 in the York Goffs Premier Yearling Stakes. Followed that up winning at this level, then 3.25L 4th at Ayr. Stepped up to 7f since and has run well. Musselburgh return looked unbalanced and like he'd come on for the run. Only just lost 3rd near the line. Did well to come from so far back there when the top three were all prominent and is overpriced at 16/1.

No draw bias over this course and distance. However, there is a strong bias for frontrunners, of which there are only two: Supido and Our Mighty Mo. Top weight, however, wouldn't be a massive put-off with the advantage he'll gain from being prominent. He was bought out of France in April after running well at Listed and G3 level over there. Only 1.75L 5th when last seen in Baden-Baden (GER). Obviously, G3 form over there isn't as solid as it is here, and Ian Williams' current 0-20 strike rate is a concern. However, he can run a good race here.
