Lightly raced 4yo. Beaten 3L six weeks ago in a Group 3, tricky track, still holding a chance inside the final furlong. He was beaten by four runners 110+, the winner rated 116 and Group 1 class. He shouldn’t fear these handicap rivals, he looks weighted to run a big race and he is a previous 12f C/D winner.

The 3yo was beaten just 2L in the 1000 Guineas last month, seeing the race out well but not quite getting to the front two inside the final furlong. It was just her second career run and her first run after a 7 month break. You could expect some improvement after that effort. She’s had a nice seven week break and is at a decent price for this Group 1.

Irish raider, 3yo filly, 1 win from 4. She was beaten 3L in a Group last month, however, she was beaten by some high rated rivals. She travelled strong but had a rotten passage in the final 2f, stuck in a pocket, switched then hit another wall and the jockey had to stop riding and switch again, a positive run given the circumstances. Other positives is that she’s had a nice seven week break, that last run was after a 7 month break and should improve for the run, the 2nd 3rd and 4th in that last race have all given the form a big boost since. She’s now running in handicap company on an attractive mark.

The 3yo colt has 2 wins from 5. Aidan O’Brien/Ryan Moore are having a great week and this runner can give them a Group 2 success. He produced a career best RPR rating last time out when running on quick ground for the first time, winning the Lingfield Derby trial - he didn’t run in the Derby - and will be fresh for this race. He showed a good battling attitude to win on the line that day, beating a stable mate who is not without support for the upcoming Irish Derby.

Just seven career runs on turf, posting three good 100+ RPR ratings in his last four starts. Not disgraced in Derby two weeks ago. Just one previous run on quick ground when a decent runner-up as a 2yo. This Group 2 looks weak for the grade and the selection looks overpriced.

The 3yo filly has 2 wins from 7. She went close earlier in the month in a useful looking class 2 handicap, on good ground. She was coming off a 9 month break and the four runners around her that day were all race fit and all on top of their game. Same mark for this handicap. Improvement likely after that return effort. This fast ground is a positive along with Oisin Murphy taking over in the saddle.

The 2yo Charlie Appleby trainer runner cost 2 mil euros. A cosy 4L winner on his debut five weeks ago. Top jockey William Buick in the saddle. This Listed contest looks much easier than some of the races he could have run in this week.

The 4yo has been racing at the highest level and should be happier in this company. In three of his last four races at the highest level he has posted three 120 RPR ratings, which is top level form, despite not winning. He can be a big player at this Group 2 level.
