The trip and jockey selection was probably not helping the 5yo in his two runs last month. He had gone close in his two previous runs, both over this 12f C/D in Sept and Oct. On a handy mark now and helped by a good apprentice claiming 3 lb.

Two recent runs for the 4yo filly after coming off a six-month break. Beaten just 2L during Oct. She was a close 3rd of 16 five weeks ago; the field was quite strung out that day. More progress possible, and back on soft ground is a positive.

Back to form for the 3yo in his last two runs. Not beaten far at Southwell three weeks ago, but is better judged on his previous run over this 8f course and distance. He was a very close third that day and a huge 5L clear of the rest. That was a much stronger handicap than this contest, and the selection has a lower mark now.

Just three runs for the lightly raced 5yo this year. She was a runner-up in August on her return. A big run three weeks ago when beaten just 1/2 L over this 6f C/D. She could be a big player off the current rating and based on some of her previous RPR ratings.

Two runs last month for the 3yo filly after coming off a four-month break. Not beaten far last time out, and she has something to build on. She’s on an attractive mark now, and, going off her form earlier in the year and with the help of a good 5 lb claimer, she now looks way overpriced.
