I'm not that happy that this seems to be drifting as I thought it did well on debut, coming 2nd to what looked like another decent one. It was backed into a short-priced favorite, and others have come out of that race well. So this looks sure for a top 3 finish and could well come on a lot more for that debut run and challenge this favorite today.

Pulled clear with the winner on debut last time, finishing a promising 2nd well clear of rest. Stable had a couple of Chester winners yesterday and this one should go well.

A market with good each way opportunities and Stardinia provides a nice angle in. Despite missing the break, she was a close half-length second on debut at Leicester in an above-average £30k maiden over 5f on good-firm. The form of that race is already working out well: Logi Bear second at Goodwood, Italica third in the Lily Agnes at Chester, and Call Me By My Name second yesterday. If building on her debut, Stardinia looks to have strong claims here at a track that will suit.

SUPREME DIAMOND is a well-bred, unraced two-year-old filly by Supremacy. She is a half-sister to Sayidah Dariyan, a winner of two races at 6f. The course, distance, and going should suit her. She should run well on her racecourse debut and could well be able to win this race.

I like two in this race to take on the short-priced favorite, this one and EJH's Canyouhearthedrums. Sioux Perfect went off favorite on debut but was very green and looked like it took a bump as well. If less of a handful today, it could run into at least a place.

Baldings often improve from debut. So even though Storm Flag finished 5th of 7 on debut, beaten 4 lengths, we can expect a big improvement. He often runs some of his better types at Newmarket on debut. This looks a backable price.

Richard Hughes would know every blade of grass when in the saddle for Richard Hannon. Now a trainer in his own right, he has up-and-coming Billy Loughnane booked to ride and can give good advice on how to ride the race and course. That can see his stable runner filly expressing herself on debut.

A Kameko filly, a half-sister to 3 successful winners, including the promising 2-year-old King Cuan, who triumphed at distances of 6f-7f, and the 5f winner Ernest Rutherford. Her Dam was a winner at 7f and 7.6f. This newcomer hails from a stable in excellent form, having celebrated a debut victory with a 2-year-old at Newmarket just last week. At 22/1, this opportunity presents great value.
