Course and distance winners Ballyfort and Netywell reoppose, and the weights haven't changed much. Ballyfort was below par that day, but with the yard in red-hot form now, he might bounce back from that lacklustre run.

Keep On Cobbling is top-rated in my handicap, but has been off for 102 days. Fox's Fancy is given a chance and ran well here last time in a competitive Class 4. She tried to make all and ran out of petrol. Worth another chance off a falling mark.

Ned Tanner and Dare to Shout were first and second in this race last year. Anne Hamilton looks to have targeted this race again, and the nine-year-old is now five pounds lower in the weights. While they both have good chances, he might gain revenge this time around.

Kalo Athena stays this trip and ran well in defeat on heavy ground last time at Newcastle. At 11/4 he is a fair price in receipt of weight from the top-weight, who is still a maiden after ten runs. Coylton King threw his chance away last time and will find this easier down in grade.
