Won over course and distance on New Year's Eve on similar ground, and the form of that race has been franked. Highly tried in Gd1 and Listed races on his last two runs, and now is back down in grade.

Off for a year and makes stable debut for Clover. Has just its second run of its career. Is a syndicate horse and there has been money for this one, suggesting a good run is expected.

Should be effective at this level. Won a couple of classified races before failing off 51 the last twice in Class 6 races. Down a pound here and has each-way chance.

I like this one each way. Ran well in the Martin Pipe and would have finished even closer had he not blown up, as it was his first run for 5 months. 6 lb lower here and the jockey is taking off another 5 lb. He would certainly have finished top 3 at Cheltenham carrying this weight, yet is 3 times the price of Karl des Tourelles, who finished 6th in that race.

Finished mid-division in the Pertemps at Cheltenham, but would have been a lot closer had he not lost momentum after stumbling after the last. Decent odds to gain compensation.

Well fancied at Cheltenham last time, but didn't seem to see out the 20f trip. Drops back to 2m here from a 3lb lower mark, and with a tongue tie fitted for the first time. The one to beat.

Could be a 1-2 for JP. Selection won this race from just a pound lower last year, and McLernan is back on top as he was last year. The race will be run to suit again, and he has a decent each-way chance.
