NEVERADULLMOMENT has won two hurdle races and a chase from 2m 1f to 2m 6f. Eighth in a Listed chase over 2m 7f at Ballinrobe on his latest outing in May. Dropped in trip to 2m 6f should suit. Seems well treated and could well be able to win this race.

Ran his best race over fences last time, which was his handicap debut. Nudges up a pound here and steps up in trip, which should suit as he won over further over hurdles.

Six-time winner Cave Court looks interesting in this 2m7f handicap chase. His last win came over hurdles at Naas in January, but he is consistent though lightly raced over fences. In his six starts over the bigger obstacles, he has won twice and been placed twice. His two wins came in September 2023 at Listowel and Clonmel. His two runs over fences this year have both been in Britain, finishing 4th at Ayr in March and then second in a Class 2 handicap at Cartmel last month. He is off a 3lbs lower mark here, so looks like a good EW bet with 5 places on offer.

Taking just this each way in this monster field. Loves it at Galway and always finishes well, so happy at the price to go again with 5 places.

San Salvador does not look generously handicapped on his recent chase form, but he is in decent form on the flat recently. Provided he avoids mistakes, he has the stamina to stay this distance over fences off top weight.

His trainer, Henry De Bromhead, has a good record in this race, winning four contests and placing numerous times. He's a chaser on looks and was possibly out of his depth in a listed handicap at Punchestown at the end of last season. But if he can get a good position at the front, which he needs, and can put the field under pressure with his good jumping, his mark could be exploited.

The model I run suggests an upset from Digby in this one. The result has been driven by Digby having the highest RPR of the larger 20 horse field here but carries less weight than the majority of the other runners around this 2m 6f handicap chase. The form coming here shows signs of ability, but improvement will be needed to go close. The form figures of 441-12 show signs of continuous improvement. Mr. Obrien on board relieves a further 5 lbs for claiming and this can help over the longer distance. The model has issued a 'very low' stake indicator which translates to a 0.5pt bet on a scale of 0-4.

Ran a blinder last chase, traveled well throughout the race. Up 5lb but has run well around here a few times, so worth an each-way pop if can show similar form.

Kiltealy Park at 23.00 offers a great angle. Her recent Fairyhouse win shows she's in top form, and despite a 10lb rise, she has a good chance to hit the frame in this competitive field.

Trainer Henry De Bromhead has won four of the last ten runnings of this as well as a couple of seconds and a fourth in that time. Stable have been in good form of late and I know the local owner has his heart set on this.

As it always seems to be the way here at Galway Gordon Elliot arrives here mob handed with many talented charges amongst his ranks, myself however am siding with his 9 year old Gelding MARS HARPER who is very capable but most importantly knows the time of day here at Galway which a good friend of mine & Fellow tipster ( Sean McNamara: Give him a follow he knows his stuff) so rightly calls it 'A glorified dog track' the horses are constantly turning so Course experience is vital (in my humble opinion). This Son of SULAMANI drops in class here today which speaks volumes of the battles he's been in recently with his run at this year's Cheltenham very impressive outrunning his 100/1 odds to finish 4th. Stable #1 jockey Jack Kennedy picks this charge over the rest to lead him into battle with jockey currently in fine fettle since returning from injury. 16/1 with 5 places is enough for me.

Better chasing than over hurdles and doesn't appear to be stable first choice, but with 5 places on offer and a 33-1 price, i'll try a small ew.

Riaan is an 8-year-old gelding trained by Gordon Elliott and ridden by Danny Gilligan. He had two good runs at Cheltenham and Punchestown last season but has UR and PU in two recent starts, which leaves question marks. He also finished 2/25 in a Listed handicap chase back in February 22, posting a career-high RPR of 142 behind the now 163-rated Hearts Wood. He runs off 134 here today, and given Elliott's record in these staying handicap chases, it wouldn't be any surprise if Riaan put his best foot forward like Elliott did last year.

Flash De Touzaine is a 10-year-old gelding trained by Liz Doyle. He won two chases recently on good ground after finishing 4/20 in this corresponding race last year, beaten 15.5 lengths under today's jockey, Donald Meyler. He ran better than the bare form figures suggest in that contest: 'good headway and prominent before 2nd, briefly disputed lead 7th, slightly hampered and left in lead 5 out, faced challenge home turn, headed and weakened run-in.' Given Meyler's recent rich vein of form in recent days at Galway (1-3-2-5-2-1), Flash De Touzaine could once again figure given a clearer passage.

Lightkeeper won twice in the spring before being pulled up in two hot races. The penultimate race saw him miss the start at 2m4f, but he finished the race off well. Last time, he traveled well for a long way before not being given a hard time when headed and outpaced. The course winner is now back on a fair mark, and the longer trip will help. Combine the last two runs for today, and he has a better chance than 40/1 suggests.

Ran well in defeat over a trip probably too short on that last run, may do better now moving back up to what does look like a more suitable distance
