Saith Seren is a 4-year-old filly trained by Andrew Lee. She has yet to win in eight starts, but her best run came three starts back when finishing 2/13 at Killarney on heavy ground, beaten just 1/2 length off 52 behind Martinelli, who won again on June 11th in a first time tongue tie. She runs today off the same mark of 52 under Gavin Ryan in first-time blinkers and could go close to breaking her maiden tag today, particularly if we get some rain.

Dark Mandate is a 2-year-old colt trained by Charles Hills. He ran well for a long way on debut and didn't go unfancied, moving from 22-1 into 11-1, but was beaten by 7 lengths. He is out of a dam, Bizzi Lizzi (GB), who went 1-1-0 in just three starts. She was a half-sister to five winners, four of which posted career-high RPR between 107-113, so a nice pedigree. Dark Mandate should have benefited from the debut run and potentially take a big step forward today.

Manila Scouse is a 6-year-old gelding trained by Tim Easterby. He has 5 wins out of 34 on turf. He is a course winner on today's good going and won over 5f. His last win came off a 2lb higher mark of 83. He also comes to hand this time of year, winning four times between the months of June and August. Manila Scouse commands some respect at 12-1 under jockey David Allan, who knows him well.
