Slaney Opera won a point last year and got his first win under rules when taking a maiden hunter chase at Kelso in April. He was then 3rd in the Champion Novices' Hunter Chase at Stratford in May and looks interesting here, switching to Ruth Jefferson's yard for his first handicap chase. He looks a good each-way bet with four places on offer.

Though up 7 lbs, Paddy Hanlon's claim takes him back to the same mark. If on a going day, he looks a good each-way bet at these odds with five places on offer.

The Bluesman has won 3 of his 5 races and looks to have a great opportunity to record his second chase win in as many starts. He won a bumper at Chepstow in April 2024 and then won there again on his hurdles debut in November last year. He made a successful chase debut at Southwell earlier this month, easily winning a handicap by 6.5 lengths, and can defy an 8 lb rise and follow up.

Small Town Hero has been in great form this year, landing a hat-trick over hurdles in the summer before winning over fences at Downpatrick in October. He travelled to Haydock earlier this month and, back over hurdles, won off a mark 28 lbs higher than his first win. He is up another 8 lbs here but still looks a good each-way bet with five places on offer.
