7:10 Wolverhampton Tips

The stable is on fire, and this horse is going to have a great chance back at a C&D where she won for this jockey off a 2lb higher mark earlier in the year. That effort clearly gives her every chance here, and she was beaten less than a length over the C&D in the run prior to that. So this is clearly very much her optimal conditions, and the promising apprentice can add to his tally here.

White Umbrella completed a course and distance double back in June. She followed it up with a poorer run at Haydock in July but could bounce back now returning to Wolverhampton.

Two best runs have both come in C&D handicaps. Won a race in February from 2lb lower than this and was a neck second in May from 2lb higher, so she is still on a workable mark on her return here.

Miss Yorkshire ran well to be placed in her 3 maidens, with 2 coming on the AW, the last when second here at Wolverhampton in May. As a result, she was given a rating of 70, which seemed a bit high, and she has been well beaten in two handicaps. Now dropping to 66 and back at Wolverhampton, she looks like a good EW bet with 4 places on offer.

This seven furlong fillies handicap is a good opportunity for Glorious Kitty to progress. Third of seven on only previous start here over six furlongs. Has been struggling at the minimum trip on turf recently. Three pounds lower mark will help now and upped in distance from five to seven furlongs is interesting (by Cotai Glory but dam won over seven furlongs). Has to get back to best form from earlier this season.

Excuses at Yarmouth last time when slowly away, and based on overall form, still some improvement needed. But Jack Mitchell is booked and only a 5th career run, so 4 places and 33/1 looks too tempting.
