Lovely Reaction probably needed the run on return to action over 3 miles at Punchestown earlier this month. Looks well-handicapped here (OR97), running off bottom weight while Laura Costello claims a 7 lb allowance. Twice a winner over hurdles, including a nine-length success off OR97 at Leopardstown in March 2024. Good effort in last hurdles start back in July. Chance from low weight in an open race.

Fifteen-length winner of a mares' hurdle in France. Was well backed on first start for Gordon Elliott last time. Four-length winner of a juvenile hurdle, beating a previous winner despite running keenly. First-time headgear applied now. Nice pedigree, being a half-sister to Impaire Et Passe.

Second in this race in 2023 and winner of last year's renewal off a mark of 122. Runs off OR 123 today and the going looks likely to suit with yielding conditions in the forecast. Harry Sexton again claims seven pounds allowance. Former Irish National fifth clearly thrives around here.

Gordon Elliott fields a strong team for this 3m5f Porterstown Chase, including Beaufort Scale. Both pedigree and form suggest a progressive staying chaser. He stayed on to finish second of eighteen over 3m1f at Cheltenham and stayed on late, although he was admittedly a little disappointing in the Troytown at Navan. Two hurdle wins came around the three-mile trip. He is yet to win over fences but is still reasonably handicapped off OR102, and this trip could bring out the best in the six-year-old.

King Kodiak steps up in trip a little for this novice hurdle. Showed minor promise when fifth in a bumper at Newcastle back in February. A smart winner has come out of that race. Returns for the George Bewley stable. Profitable to follow his runners this season. 'Not ruled out each-way,' according to the Racing Post.

Koktail Brut gets the vote in an exciting contest. Easy winner by nine lengths from a well-fancied type (former Grade 2 winner) at Punchestown over 2 miles recently. Just pushed out for the last, Koktail Brut ran out a nine-length winner, and the first two were 24 lengths clear of the rest. Has some strong form at this level and may have progressed in the interim. Gordon Elliott's yard has won four of the last ten runnings and comes here in better current form than Willie Mullins' stable.

Hard to oppose Romeo Coolio here. Meets rivals at level weights in this Grade 1 novice chase. Third in the Supreme Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham and second in the equivalent race at the Punchestown Festival. Fourteen-length winner of his first beginners' chase start at Down Royal recently. Brings plenty of promise for in-form Gordon Elliott. Jack Kennedy (SR 24%) rides.

A close call between the front two in the market, but Teahupoo is selected. He is a year older at age eight and is rated two pounds higher than his nearest rival. Bids for a third success in this race. Has beaten Impaire Et Passe and only found Lossiemouth (receiving seven pounds mares' allowance) too good last year. 2024 Stayers' Hurdle winner and 2025 Stayers' Hurdle second. Winner of both Punchestown Stayers' Hurdles. Gordon Elliott stable in good form. Jack Kennedy (SR 24%) rides.

Good effort when third to French Ship (form enhanced with a follow-up win yesterday) at Cheltenham last time. He gave weight away to the winner that day. Handicap mark is two pounds more lenient back in Ireland. Three wins from twelve hurdle starts and could improve for softer going. Jack Kennedy (SR 25%) rides for the in-form Gordon Elliott stable.

Lultimatom went up in value from three years to four years old, costing £225,000. He runs in the colours of Gigginstown for Willie Mullins and is forecast as favourite in the Racing Post. Perhaps he offers more value of the two at the front of the market.
