Vanillier is favoured for a strong performance, having shown impressive form at Cheltenham despite a setback. The Goffer, who finished just behind Vanillier at Cheltenham, is expected to benefit from the experience and could challenge Vanillier. Stealthy Tom is recommended for an each-way bet, with a history of strong performances at this course and the return of blinkers potentially boosting his chances. Tipsters suggest Vanillier as the likely winner, with The Goffer as a potential challenger, while Stealthy Tom is a solid each-way option.

Won over 3 miles on this course back in January before a big run when third in the Glenfarclas at the Cheltenham Festival. Looked a shade unfortunate as had to be snatched up when nearly took the wrong course. Otherwise, would have gone close. Well beaten since in the Grand National but will be more at home in this sphere, and a big run is on the cards.

Each run has been slightly better this season in graded races, finishing in or just outside the frame, so has been coming down the weights. Should get the 4m+ trip as he was staying on over 3m5f in the Cross Country at Cheltenham, and was 13th in last year's National.

Looks a classier renewal than usual as to the fore of the market are relative youngsters considering the last five winners of this race were aged 14,11,15,11 and 12! You have to go back to 2018 to the last time trainer Enda Bolger won this race but that was the fourteenth time he'd won it since 1997 and for me his Stealthy Tom is the one for an each way punt. He was second beaten just a neck in this to Vital Island two years ago, but is slightly better off in the weights today. Has won a cross country chase race at this course but swerves a Saturday entry in this year's cross country race to run here. Won in first time blinkers some years ago but has not worn them in recent races so interesting they are back on now and if livening him up again can run a big race and looks an each way banker.

Veteran 13-year-old who won this race back in 2023 on good ground. Arrives here on the back of a point-to-point win over 25f. Veterans go well in this race with 12, 11, 15, 11, and 14-year-olds winning the last 5 renewals, and a couple of those winners winning for the 2nd time. I'll play each way as Vanilier and The Goffer look worthy favourites.
