One of the very few in here proven on bad ground and on just third start of season looks ready to strike as is now looking well handicapped. Ran well last time at Chepstow where was bang in contention before fading late on and drop in trip on this stiff track looks sure to help. Has won at Leicester which is not too dissimilar to this track and has won on heavy going too. Tony Carroll's only runner of the day and must have an EW shout at the very least. 4lb lower than last win from last season and after two pipe openers after a break can run a big race here especially if improving again for latest good effort. Looks to have a huge chance for me and looks the best bet of the day.

Sallal is much respected as is 3/4 in short career and looks one to follow but I feel we haven't seen the best of Chantilly Lace yet and she looks a good bet. Won easily on debut on soft ground and considering pedigree has run really well since at a good level, despite not having soft ground since. Ran well at Royal Ascot in the Group 1 Coronation Stakes before being beaten a neck and a head in a Group 3 last time at Ascot again. Even form of seasonal debut when 5th in the 1000 guineas suggests she is actually the one to beat here and each time has shaped as if a stiffer test would suit over a mile. Will get that here and if ground does ride soft looks a good thing to me and we all know trainer has a fine touch with fillies. In the Group 1 Sun Chariot and can finish the season on a high now getting suitable ground for the first time since debut and given is out of Lope de Vega can improve for it.

Seeing as yard have won this 6 times in the past they must be the starting point but they don't make it easy by running three. However the two older horses look worth taking on as one might prefer quicker ground and the other looks on the downgrade despite classy form in the not too distant past. For me this unexposed 3yo looks the play given ran a cracker in a French Group 3 last time under today's pilot James Doyle. Wasn't disgraced in the Ribblesdale at Royal Ascot over further either but best form has been over this trip and looks a fair shout as comes here as the most unexposed of the Gosden trio. Soft ground a slight concern but half brother Rajasthan handled it on sole try when a good second to the smart Ciceros Gift for the Gosden's a few years ago. Can go close and add a win for the first time since debut victory at Kempton last November. Yard is 6-17 at a 35% strike rate and a whopping nearly plus £30 level stakes profit at Yarmouth this season and hopefully we've landed on the right one. Life would be beautiful if we have!
