LEXINGTON BLITZ always gives his best and often leads, he possesses high cruising speed and 5f is his perfect trip, can be prone to late closers like last time when third at Epsom but there was give in the ground that day which probably didnt suit also camber on track does catch horses out. I fancy he'll get back to winning ways today on perfect going where he's also a course and distance winner

Twilight Calls came back from a 237-day break in May last year off a mark 16 lb higher than today's, and the 8-year-old ran in three top-class 1 races over 5f, each of which was a very stiff task. He was then campaigned mainly over 6f for the rest of 2025 and went to Meydan this spring, where he also raced mainly over 6f. Returned to the UK off a mark of 82 and, after a sharpener on the all-weather, was put back over 5f on turf. His last three runs have been 121, winning a little cheekily last time. He has run well here on both past starts and was a little unlucky in both. The visor worn on the last three starts remains, and he's looking at his best on current form. That puts him well in at the weights. Saffie Osborne gets on well with him, and as a hold-up horse he will need a clear passage, but if he gets that he is capable of landing this.

Adrestia was runner up in this race last year, touched off by a nose, off a 3lb higher mark. This filly hasn't been in top form this year in three runs but with Murphy back in the saddle for the first time since her run in last years race, I'd expect her to bounce back to her best.

The 5yo has got better with age. Solid form last year, and he won the Ayr Gold Cup. Two big runs at Meydan over the winter. He went very close in a 15 runner £52K handicap at Ascot 17 days ago. I don't think this handicap is as strong. Slightly lower mark now plus 7lb taken off by the claiming jockey, who only has to point and go in this 5f sprint.

An outright speed merchant who is tailormade for Goodwood's blistering, downhill 5-furlong course. She thrives on quick summer turf where she can use her natural gate speed to lay down an early marker. Having dropped back to a highly competitive handicap rating after a series of solid runs in hot sprint handicaps, she gets an ideal setup tomorrow. If she breaks cleanly from the gates and finds the rail, she is capable of outrunning her double-digit odds in a big way.

Seven Questions was given a brilliant ride when winning here at Goodwood last time. Only up 1 lb for that win, so still looks well in. Will need all the luck in running again, but with Jamie Spencer back on board could go close to gaining another course win.

I would be far more confident in selecting this horse if there was more cut in the ground but he did previously win on good to firm ground at Ascot last summer. He's on a good mark and has shown recent good form. Each-way chance in a very competitive handicap.

This five furlong dash looks fiercely competitive, and they will go flat out from the start. The Man comes from the very in form yard of Richard Spencer, who does very well with his multitude of sprinters. He won at York in May last year, and was only just touched off in a big handicap back there at the Ebor Meeting. I think we should ignore his time in the UAE earlier in the year. He didn't get the best of breaks on his return to this country at Newcastle last time, and the race was always beyond him after that. Given no such issues here he can provide the excellent David Egan with a winner.

Chosen because he possesses the ideal attributes for a competitive five-furlong handicap. He breaks quickly, races prominently and has the early pace needed to secure one of the first few positions. Those characteristics are regularly rewarded over the minimum trip at Goodwood, while his progressive profile offers each-way appeal.

Spring Is Sprung is a big player here and arrives in good form. He ran right to form when beaten only half a length off a 1 lb lower mark at York last time, so there's no obvious reason to think he won't be competitive again from this mark. He's a proper 5f specialist. He also handles good to soft and sounder surfaces, and he's only 2 lb above his last winning mark. That makes him look well treated if he gets the same kind of run, especially with Mark Winn taking over.

REGAL ENVOY finished mid-division in a better race than this at Royal Ascot last time out, so I think this price and the extra places on offer make him a backable prospect in this one. The win is a bit of a stretch but there's a decent each-way on offer and he's unlikely to get boxed in or meet trouble in running as one of the likely front runners. (not nap but only bet)
