Rosario hasn't had the best of luck since he won at Goodwood back in the spring. Incredibly he lost shoes twice after the Goodwood race. He has been drawn on the wrong part of the track the last twice, which ruled out his chances both times. He is drawn best of all in this race, and is on a mark lower than the one he won off at Goodwood.

Night Breeze has a good chance here. He was a fine third in the Old Newton Cup at the start of July, and that form looks very strong, the second won with ease at Thirsk on Friday. He finished second on his last start, coming up against a class act in Mount Atlas. He competes against slightly lower class opposition in this race, which hopefully lets him win.

With Eve Johnson-Houghton in such great form it's worth rowing in with Jumby, who has some very good form on his CV. Until his last run at Haydock his form this season had been moderate. That has seen his mark drop quite markedly. He was a close third in this race last year off a mark six pounds higher than today's mark. He should go very close.

Muker can be a bit of an in and out performer, but has ability. He needs a fast pace to attack in the final quarter mile, and there should be a strong pace on here. Alex Jary takes five pounds off and his booking could make all the difference.

Andrew Balding has a strong record at the Shergar Cup meeting, and he places his three year old handicappers better than most trainers. Topteam has won his last three races, and I think this has been the long term plan.

We're in the basement department in this race, however Arlington is the most consistent of these and ran well behind Canaria Queen last time. Bryan Smart's recent runners have all run well, and Arlington can continue the yard's good form.

Treasure Time ran a very promising race on seasonal debut at Sandown. However, he ran very poorly at Goodwood last week. That's a tricky track, and it's possible he wasn't suited there. William Haggas turns him out quickly, which tends to suggest he thinks his charge is better than his last showing.

Most of those that have run haven't shown a great deal, so one of the unraced runners might be up to winning this. Michael Dods has a good record with his two year olds at Ayr, and I'm more than happy to risk a little on Golden Havana.

This looks like a very weak handicap, and the very well-treated Tele Red seems the most obvious winner. He's been quite inconsistent this season; however, he should be able to dominate this field.

Mersea absolutely hacked up at Musselburgh last week, and despite his penalty, he races off two pounds less here after the claimer's allowance is factored in. This isn't a strong heat, and a follow-up win looks likely.

Gemini Man was a fair second to the progressive Dwindling Funds at Hamilton last week, and can go one better this time. The opposition looks very poor, and coupled with the great form of the Tuer yard, Gemini Man is a strong fancy.
