Backing Letter of the Law, the 6-year-old Lawman gelding trained by John O’Shea, in tomorrow’s Best Betting Sites Handicap (1 m 14 y) at Chepstow. This veteran has recently shown revival signs, finishing a solid second over this course and distance back on May 13??'beaten just narrowly off a 25/1 price. He arrives here off that effort fit and ready, carrying a modest mark (OR 47), which suggests he’s dangerously well handicapped. With three consistent placed efforts in recent starts and a proven liking for Chepstow, he should settle mid-division before unleashing a strong run in the closing stages. Trainer O’Shea’s patience is paying dividends as Letter of the Law appears to be hitting peak fitness, and the drop in grade offers him a genuine chance to outrun his odds.

I’m siding with Dear Cat, the unexposed 3-year-old filly trained by Warren Greatrex, in tomorrow’s 20:00 at Windsor. She returns from a short break and crucially runs for the first time after undergoing wind surgery??'a potential game-changer for a horse who showed early ability but hadn’t quite finished her races off in recent starts. Her juvenile form was respectable, showing promise in novice company, and the Greatrex team clearly feel there’s more to unlock now that her breathing has been addressed. This will also be her first visit to Windsor, a track that can catch some out with its tight turns and short straight, but being lightly raced and still learning, she could take to it well??'especially if ridden quietly early and allowed to find her rhythm. Off a lenient handicap mark and now possibly more comfortable in her wind, she’s got room to improve and could surprise a few in this 6f contest.
