Backing Eeetee, the seasoned 7-year-old Fast Company gelding trained by J. S. Wainwright, in tomorrow’s 7f 219y Class 5 handicap. He arrives in strong form after breaking his losing streak with a decisive win at Redcar on 21 June, storming home by half a length in 7f Class 6 company under Cam Hardie??'showing he’s working well on this track. That victory, off a mark of 64, confirmed he handles this trip and course superbly. Since then, he followed up with a solid fifth at Doncaster on 10 July in a higher-grade Class 5 event over a similar trip??'suggesting that the Redcar win was no fluke. Rated around 66 now, he still looks well treated, particularly returning to Redcar where he’s at his best.

Team Endeavour, a 6-year-old gelding trained by Barry Murtagh, looks like a solid each-way play in the 1m6f Apprentice Handicap at Redcar. He caught the eye last time out when finishing second at Catterick over 2 miles, returning to the Flat after a spell over hurdles. That was a big run at 80/1, showing clear signs that he’s still got the ability to mix it in these staying handicaps. Before that, he was a solid fourth over course and distance here at Redcar in June, so we know he handles the track and trip. He runs off a basement mark of 45, and with Tom Kiely-Marshall booked again, connections clearly see an opportunity to strike. In a small field of eight, this looks winnable, and with fitness now under his belt and confidence back, he could go very close. Expect him to be held up before staying on late.

Backing Cuda Been A Rowlex, the lightly raced 3-year-old Ardad gelding trained by Roger Fell, in tomorrow’s Young Racing Stars Apprentice Handicap over 1m 2f. He’s already a proven course winner??'landing a tidy Class 6 contest at Redcar in April over the same trip and conditions, showing he handles the track and trip confidently. Although he hasn’t hit the board in four subsequent attempts??'finishing fifth twice on all-weather and three starts on turf??'those runs were in higher-grade company, and he’s steadily picking up valuable experience. Now rated just 45, he’s well treated and drops back into Class 6 company where he looks to hold a fitness edge.
