Although his last outing at Perth was below his best, he usually performs well around 2 and a half. With the cheekpieces back on and Nathan Moscrop taking the ride, he's got solid credentials to bounce back to form, especially given his track record at Ayr here.

  Heres Rodney is a three-year-old gelding making his debut. While there isn’t much to go on, his pedigree provides a bit of intrigue to me as he is by Rajasinghe and out of Kogershin, whose other foals have been good performers up to 16f. Trained by Jennie Candlish and partnered with Jonjo O'Neil, and with cheekpieces added on debut, the yard seems to be trying to help him focus and settle on his first run. So, possibilities here.

  Culzean is a young filly by Frontiersman out of Belfast Central, and she’s bred to have some staying power, especially being a half-sister to Abrach Road, who has shown some ability at 16f. With Ian Duncan training and Joshua Thompson taking 7lb off, she’s positioned well here in this debut. Though there’s not much race evidence yet, her pedigree says she may handle today's trip nicely.
