Reiki Revolution is a horse very much on the up, coming off an impressive 11-length demolition job last time out at Punchestown. He’s taken really well to the hood and now gets a first-time tongue-tie added, so there may even be more focus to come. Proven on this ground and effective over trips from 2m4 to 3m, he’s got a profile screaming further improvement now entering handicap company. I expect him to travel strongly and be produced at the right time here.

Born At Midnight is a seasoned stayer with solid recent form, running well when finishing 2 lengths behind over 3m1 at Hereford last time. He stays the trip well and has proven effective on both soft and good ground, giving him a great chance in these conditions. Trained by Kathy Turner and ridden by Harry Kimber, he’s holding his form well and should be set for another consistent run. He’s the type to keep plugging away and could be in the mix for a place if he gets his jumping right. He is a reliable contender at this level so worth a shot here

Battle Of Ridgeway is a solid, reliable type who showed me his fighting spirit by landing a tight victory over 2m3f at Wexford a few runs back off a mark of 109. Although he was a bit below his best last time, as he was hampered early in the race, he remains capable and well-suited to these races between 2 and 2m4 on this ground. Trained by Hassett and jockey Burke, he’s in with a good shout if he puts it all together again here.

Fascile Mode arrives here in decent form overall, although I will say that jumping errors continue to hold him back from challenging for a win. Trained by Thomas Mullins and ridden by Gavin Sheehan, he has shown me enough ability to place a punt here, especially on this good ground over 2 to 2m4. Despite finishing well beaten last time, his prior form had some solid runs, and he looks capable of running a fair race here if his jumping is better today. I expect him to travel semi-confidently :) and, if he keeps it all together, finish in the frame or close.

Lion City is the sort of horse who brings intrigue to me in a race like this. One of the big outsiders, but showed me plenty when he dug in deep when winning his Sedgefield bumper. There’s raw ability under the bonnet here, and while this jump up in class is a huge test, adding first-time blinkers could help sharpen him up and keep him focused today. He’s got a decent pedigree also, so with a positive ride, I expect him to settle, travel, and run with plenty of zest here. I'll be honest and say that he will need to step up to be right in the frame here, but genuine progress isn’t out of the question, especially if those blinkers do the trick.
