Won the Triumph Hurdle at last year's Cheltenham Festival and ran out an impressive winner of the first two starts over fences this year as a novice. A shade unlucky when second in this year's Arkle Chase when slipped up following a jumping error and did well to get back into the race. Hard to be with a good round of jumping.

Gavin Cromwell's 7yo mare was only beaten 0.75 lengths in the Arkle Novice Chase (Grade 1) at Cheltenham LTO, nabbed late on by a strong stayer. She's been steadily progressive and, of course, gets weight from her main rivals, including the favorite today whom she beat in that Festival race.

The model I run says Rubaud can get his nose in front here for this one. Majborugh is a massive odds-on favourite, but this festival has been a bit of a graveyard for odds-on favourites so far, so happy to take a chance here. Down to the numbers - Rubaud has reasonable form coming into this, prior figures of 1,1,F,2,1,5. Lots of ability and evidence of placing at a good standard. Harry Cobden picks up the reins, who is experienced and in good form.

This 8-year-old has made impressive strides over hurdles and has shown his prowess over fences, winning 2-mile handicaps and finishing 2nd to Kalif Du Berlais at the Grade 1 level in Aintree last month. Sam Twiston-Davies, a well-regarded jockey, will be on board. While he has limited experience at Punchestown in the last 5 seasons, he has won 2 of his races here and placed in two others. Eager to make his mark in his 2nd race of the season, a 20/1 each-way bet offers great value.
