Kamala Harris and Donald Trump now joint favourites to be crowned TIME Person of the Year

Betting odds are still offered on who will be crowned as the 2024 TIME Person of the Year with US Presidential candidates Kamala Harris and Donald Trump now joint favourites in the market.

UK Betting Sites are giving odds on the TIME Person of the Year which is handed out annually by the American news magazine to a person, group, idea or object that has significant influence in the past 12 months.

Interestingly every serving president of the United States apart from Calvin Coolidge, Herbert Hoover and Gerald Ford have been named Person of the Year since it began in 1927.

97 years later we're likely to see the same again with Paddy Power putting Harris and Trump as the joint favourites in the market to win the award at 5/6.

Those odds give an implied probability of 54.5% for each of them to be crowned TIME Person of the Year with those two well clear of everyone else in the market.

Two presidential candidates also neck-and-neck to be voted in as US President next month

Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are also close together in the odds for the US Presidential Election next month but Trump has now moved into favourite to win the election.

Bookies have had Harris and Trump switching back and forth in the market in the past few weeks and it's the same today with Trump now odds-on at 4/5 to win ahead of Harris.

Harris is evens in the market with a 50% chance of winning, with Trump's latest odds giving him and implied probability of 55.6% to be voted in.
