Italy lead the early betting odds to win the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest

Italy are the early market leaders to win the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest with bookmakers already offering odds on the event next year.

The Italians have won the famous song contest on three occasions with a further 16 top-five finishes and won the show as recently as 2021 with rock band Maneskin's song Zitti e buoni.

The Italian participation will be chosen once again via the Festival di Sanremo 2025 which is set to take place in February where the winner will be chosen to represent Italy at Eurovision.

Boylesports latest betting market puts Italy as the 6/1 favourites to win Eurovision 2025 with Sweden and Ukraine following as the 7/1 joint second favourites in the early betting odds.

That market gives an implied probability of 14.3% that Italy are crowned Eurovision winners for the second time in 4 years.

United Kingdom currently 12/1 in the market to win Eurovision

United Kingdom sit at 5th favourites in the betting odds to win Eurovision with bookmakers putting the UK at 12/1 in the early market to win.

The UK has not won Eurovision since 1997 and that looked like it could change back in 2022 with Sam Ryder finishing second with Space Man.

Such highs that year though have been followed by massive lows since with Mae Muller finishing 25th out of 26 in 2023 and Olly Alexander 18th in 2024.

Basel will host the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest

The 2025 Eurovision Song Contest will be held in St. Jakobshalle, Basel, on Saturday 17 May after Switzerland won the 2024 Eurovision.

There were a number of host cities that put themselves forward for Eurovision with Geneva coming runner-up to Basel for selection as host of Eurovision.

St. Jakobshalle capacity is more than 12,000 and it'll be a massive night of action as Eurovision always is with 26 countries going against each other to be crowned winner.

Swiss singer Nemo won last year's Eurovision with song The Code and that is why Switzerland will be hosting the show in 2025.
