Stuart Broad is now as short as 7/4 to win the Sports Personality of the Year award this year

England Cricketer Stuart Broad remains the clear favourite with UK Betting Sites to win this year's Sports Personality of the Year award as we edge closer to the event.

Broad retired from all forms of cricket after an exhilarating Ashes series this summer and his retirement may see him win the SPOTY award in his final year as a cricketer.

Following that retirement Broad was instantly added to the market as the favourite for the award with his odds originally at 3/1 but he's since shortened right up to 7/4 to win.

Those odds from William Hill suggest that there's now a 36% chance of Broad being crowned Sports Personality of the Year at the award's show expected to take place in December.

2023 Sports Personality of the Year Winner Odds Probability
Stuart Broad 7/4 36.4%

Mary Earps 3/1 25.0%
Katarina Johnson-Thompson
9/1 10.0%

England Women's keeper Mary Earps is now 3/1 joint second favourite for award

Mary Earps now has a 25% chance of winning Sports Personality of the Year after her performances between the sticks for England Women at the World Cup this summer.

Earps was arguably England's best player at the tournament with some massive saves throughout including a penalty save in the World Cup Final against Spain.

Ultimately though that performance wasn't enough with Spain winning the final 1-0 and an England win would likely have seen Earps as the heavy favourite to win the SPOTY award.
