How competitive is the Lansdown Stakes market? When looking at the over-rounds for the last 20 renewals, the most competitive market was in 2010 when the race had an over-round of 113%. The race in 2023 was a race that was most in the bookie's favour with an over-round of 128%, whilst on average over the last 20 renewals of the Lansdown Stakes, the over-round has been 121%, which means the bookie expects to pay out £100 for every £121 which is bet.

Below you will find the 2026 Lansdown Stakes Trends. See which patterns have occurred over the recent renewals that you may be able to use for the next renewal, we also have a section that looks at the Lansdown Stakes Trend Analysis.

These are the top three quickest-run Lansdown Stakes over the last 20 renewals:

  1. Electric Storm (58.30) in 2025
  2. Enticing (58.75) in 2007
  3. Priceless (59.67) in 2017

Looking at the future form, is the winner worth following next time out? Over the past 20 renewals, if you had followed the winner of the Lansdown Stakes next time out, then you would have backed a total of 3 winners. Backing all 19 runners who have been out since their win at SP next time out would have returned an LSP of +10.00. Before placing your bet on the 2026 Lansdown Stakes, see which other runners today are being backed on the racing predictions page.

When looking over the past 20 renewals, a time of 58.30 was set by Electric Storm in 2025, which is the quickest time over that period, the runner was trained by James Tate and ridden by Daniel Tudhope. The slowest winning time was set in 2005 when Indian Maiden won in a time of 1:07.22, booked to ride was Ted Durcan by the trainer Malcolm Saunders.

What the expert says...
Three of the four winners between 2021 & 2024 went on to run in the Temple Stakes at Haydock next time out, however, they finished 4th, 6th & 6th so be cautious if following the winner taking that route.
