Reverts back to hurdles this time, having run over fences the last 3 runs. I can see why the yard has decided to put his chase career on hold for now. He didn't exactly achieve much in his 3 runs, whereas he seemed to respect his hurdles a lot more than he did with fences. He's down to a mark of 116, with Harry Cobden booked to ride. That looks like an interesting jockey booking, with Harry having only ridden 9 horses for this stable in the past. He managed to win on 2 of those horses. He's 7lbs below the mark he defied to win a better race than this over CD, beating Galata Bridge comfortably. If producing that type of form here, he's the one to beat.

The 5-year-old is smart on the flat and rated 83. His hurdle mark of 113 is attractive. He has 1 win from 4 over hurdles, only beaten a length three weeks ago after stepping up to this longer trip. A mistake at the last is worth another chance.

Lightly raced but finished 4th in a really hot bumper at Plumpton behind Punchestown winner Baron Noir and listed winner Kingston Queen. Won readily LTO on 2nd hurdles start and this opening mark looks very workable.

A lightly raced 6-year-old, he has finished in the first three twice from 4 starts over hurdles, most recently finishing 1st of 8 at Market Rasen in March on good going over virtually today's distance. He makes his handicap debut on a good-looking mark with regular jockey Ben Jones booked to ride.

Two things are true about Richard Bandey's 8yo: he's thoroughly exposed, but he's also well handicapped. I think this is his optimum trip and ground. On form going back 18-30 months, he'd be slung in. Worth chancing each-way at the price.

This horse has been much improved recently and could be hard to beat here. Looks to be coming right back to its best when it won a £40 grand class two race at Market Rasen. Finished fifth in a hot Cheltenham handicap last time.

Won at Fontwell and Lingfield at the end of last year but has not been as good in 3 starts since. Holds an each-way chance if finding last year's form from 6 lbs higher.

JAZZ KING drops closer to last winning mark and could outrun this price. We've got an upgrade in the saddle here with Tom Cannon riding really well of late and one of the two recent disappointments can be excused for a run on unpreferred softer ground. We do need to forgive the last time out run at Ludlow though.

MINELLA DOUBLE comes back to scene of his last win and is now lighter in the handicap than that victory with a claimer taking further weight off. Seen very little since then but could be dangerous as the conditions seem to replicate that win here last August.
