The Queen hasn't attended the first two days of the festival, instead watching on ITV Racing

The Queen hasn't attended the first two days of this year's Royal Ascot meeting with reports saying she has watched from her home in Windsor.

Her Majesty's Racing advisor, John Warren, said, "The Queen is able to enjoy all the racing, thanks to the tremendous coverage by Ed Chamberlin and his outstanding ITV team. The Queen will absorb everything in minute detail."

Just under 50,000 punters have attended Royal Ascot in each of the two days and even more are expected on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
