Betting is already available for the 2024 Oscars and it is Martin Scorsese's The Killers of the Flower Moon that is the early bookies favourite to win Best Picture at the ceremony.
The movie is set to be released in October this year and stars Leonardo DiCaprio in the lead role, with critics already expecting it to be a major awards season player.
Despite being released in cinemas in October the film is an Apple Original with it's performance on Apple TV+ expecting to make it a worldwide success.
In doing so it would be the first Apple Original Film to be a massive hit with Apple Studios only starting to produce films back in 2021, although they did distribute CODA which won a number of awards back in 2021 including Best Picture at the Oscars.

The film adaption of Broadway musical The Color Purple is set to be released in December of this year and bookies make it second favourite in the betting market to win Best Picture.
There have been 10 musical winners of the Best Picture Oscar with Chicago back in 2002 the last time that a musical has won the big award.
Fast forward more than 20 years later and we could well see The Color Purple win the award if it lives up to the hype that surrounds the musical.
Metaverse Comedy-Drama film Everything Everywhere All At Once won the 2022 Best Picture award at the Oscars with the film sweeping the major industry awards in the past few months.
The film won both Best Picture and Best Director at the ceremony with the Daniels being chosen over everyone else to win the award for such a genre-defying film.
The movie shows interdimensional travel amongst reality through impressive originality while also having a heart-warming story about a mother and daughter wrapped up in the midst of the madness.
It's clear that Everything Everywhere All At Once will be one of those Best Picture winners that will be looked back on fondly in future years.
