Sweden have been almost a mainstay of the Eurovision contest, the only they failed to qualify from a semi-final was 2010, finishing 11th and missing out by just one spot. There looks to be no fear in that happening in 2022, as they are short-priced favourites to win the group, and no price t all to just qualify.
Sweden have won the semi-final on 4 occasions, going on to win twice from those.
If Poland comes through, and bookmakers certainly think they will given the second favourite position in the betting, it will be the first time they have been to a final, since, finishing 22nd in 2017
The highest finishing position in a semi-final they have achieved was 6th place in 2016, when finishing 8th in the final
Sweden will be the penultimate performance in the second semi-final, with Only the Czech Republic to follow performing in 18th, Poland are also on the second half of the show performing 14th.
Finland have the unenviable task of performing first, and although close to 20/1 for the win, are 4th in the betting and should be going through to the final on Saturday night
