The first of the two semi-finals for Eurovision 2022 takes place on 10th May in Turin and sees 17 countries represented with places for only 10 to progress to the final which will take place on the 14th.
Betting on the Eurovision song contest is growing in popularity year on year and now we can bet on the outcome of the semi-finals too.
Because more than half of the represented countries will be chosen to go through to the Eurovision final, the odds are quite short in some cases, and particularly in the case of the Ukraine who are also outright favourites to win this year.

Denmark's Eurovision Fall from Grace
It might be a bit of a surprise to Find Denmark as one of the outsiders with Bulgaria not making it to the final this year.
Denmark has placed in the top 5 no fewer than 14 times and has won the competition on three occasions, the latest coming in 2013, following other wins in 2022 and 1963.
Since the win in 2013 and subsequent hosting in 2014 when they finished 9th, they failed to qualify in consecutive years 2015, and 2016, and for a third time last year in 2021. They are 3/1 to be one of the top ten on the 10th May.
Bulgaria's Eurovision Record
Bulgaria joins Denmark as the first semi-final outsiders to qualify and has a much shorter history than most in the competition having only participated 13 times making their debut as late as 2005 in Ukraine.
Of those 13 entries, they have only made a final appearance on 5 occasions, but when doing so have a very respectable, average finishing position of 7.2
- 2007 - 5th
- 2016 - 4th
- 2017 - 2nd
- 2018 - 14th
- 2021 - 11th
It looks unlikely they will make it through in 2022 according to bookmakers odds.
