PSG Manager - The Contenders
Let us look back to see who the current owners have selected to be the manager and investigate if they have a style of manager they like to appoint.
The Emir of Qatar through his ownership of Qatari Sports Investments has owned the club since 2011.
The aim of QSI was to build a team to win the Champions League, in over a decade they have not managed it.
It seems they have predominately shied away from the "biggest names" and have appointed up-and-coming tactically astute coaches.
Thomas Tuchel for example had received plaudits and managerial honours (UEFA Coach Of The Year, German Manager of the Year) but he had only won a single trophy, the DFB - Pokal in Germany.
Mauricio Pochettino had done well at Southampton and Tottenham but won no trophies in his eight years in England.

PSG Manager Contenders
Zinedine Zidane
Top of our list is the Marseille-born manager Zinedine Zidane,
Zizou had a glittering playing career at Juventus, Real Madrid and the French national team.
He moved into management and spent two spells in charge at Real Madrid between 2016-2018 and 2019-21.
He looks like a shoo-in to be at PSG sometime in the future.
Julian Nagelsmann
The current manager at another heavyweight of European football Bayern Munich.
He joined the German giants after improving Hoffenheim and RB Leipzig with his moving of players into different areas of the pitch to change games.
His tactical versatility may make him an ideal choice for the hierarchy at PSG.
In his mid 30's he has already achieved a lot, Nagelsmann looks to have a long and glittering career ahead of him.
Sergio Conceicao
The Porto boss (2017-Present Day) replaced Nuno Espirito Santo when he left for Wolves in England.
Three Primera League titles and two League and Cup doubles have shown his mettle as a manager.
As a manager, Conceicao has now spent over 5 years at Porto, it would not be a surprise if he was looking for his next step in football management.
Julen Lopetegui
Looked to be destined for England and Wolverhampton Wanderers in October 2022.
This would have been a coup for the mid-table club with Lopetegui having managed Real Madrid and the Spanish National team.
Ruben Amorim
Relatively unknown to many football fans Amorim is the Sporting Club de Portugal manager.
In his first full season at Sporting, they won the league title for the first time in 19 years and qualified for the Champions League.
Amorim is another young manager who we expect is being monitored by many clubs around the world.
Roberto Martinez
The former Swansea, Wigan and Everton manager has been in charge of the Belgium national team since 2016.
Qatar 2022 will be his second World Cup after the Red Devils made it to the Semi-Finals in Russia in 2018.
Martinez's contract with Belgium ends at the end of the 2022 World Cup, we expect him to be in the bookies betting market at a string of major clubs.
Jose Mourinho
If Europen glory still eludes PSG under Galtier, could the club turn into a serial winner in Jose Mourinho?
It would be an exception for the french club but the special one has an unenviable record in getting teams to win trophies, including the Champions League.
Massimiliano Allegri
Another name that features regularly in the bookie's odds when a manager is sacked.
Previously he was linked to jobs at Arsenal and Manchester United and was said at the time to be learning English.
His sides have won the Serie A on six occasions and twice made the Champions League Final losing to Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Allegri is currently in his second spell at Juventus (2014 -19) and (2021- Present Day).
Roberto Mancini
A familiar face in club football is Roberto Mancini, his reputation grew even more with Italy winning the European Championship in 2020
However, disaster struck when Italy failed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, they were defeated 1-0 by North Macedonia in the playoff Semi-Final match
Mancini has been In charge of the national side since 2018.
PSG Managers Since 2010
We know that with the prestigious PSG manager's job comes immense pressure.
Winning Ligue 1 every season may not be enough for owners Qatar Sports Investments, the Champions League is the target.
None of the managers below has achieved that Champions League dream.
In the 2019-20 competition they came close under Thomas Tuchel, they lost the final 1-0 to Bayern Munich in Lisbon.

Current Paris Saint Germain Manager
Christophe Galtier
Galtier built his reputation at St Etienne where he managed to help the club win the French League Cup, their first trophy in 30 years.
He stayed at the club for eight years before heading to Lille.
At Lille, he won the 2020/21 French Ligue1 Championship holding off PSG by 1 point.
In 2021 he was appointed to manage Nice, he only stayed the one year securing a disappointing 5th place but they did manage to reach the French Cup final losing 1-0 to Nantes.
Then PSG came calling...
Mauricio Pochettino Year
January 2021 - July 2022
The 50-year-old ex-Tottenham manager oversaw his team being knocked out of the Champions League by Real Madrid despite winning the 1st leg and leading in the second leg.
Their meek capitulation meant despite all the marquee signings they missed out on Champions League glory for yet another season.
Alongside this, his win percentage compared poorly with previous managers at the Parc De Princes.
The former PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino despite extending his contract was let go in July 2022.
