When looking over the past 20 renewals, a time of 3:48.00 was set by Crossbow Creek in 2005, trained by Mark Rimell and ridden by Jim Crowley, which is the quickest time over that period. The slowest winning time was set in 2010 when Micheal Flips won in a time of 5:50.60 for trainer Andy Turnell, who booked Nick Scholfield in the saddle.

What the expert says...
Six of the eight winners between 2017 & 2024 went on to run at the Cheltenham festival next time out. Four of those went on to run in the Coral Cup with results of 6th, 4th, 13th & 22nd and two went to the Martin Pipe and finished 18th & 2nd.
