First View comes back to the UK after a solid run in Dubai, where he wasn’t disgraced in a deep handicap. He’s now 2lb below his last winning mark on turf and has gone well fresh before. If he handles the return to softer ground and gets a good pace to aim at, he looks fairly treated and capable of getting involved.

Not been in the best of form on these shores but has class from his Group races in France. Showed some promise when second at Ayr and is well treated. Should go well.

KING OF CHARM gets the trip, going and grade, whilst also having previous for running well fresh. Probably this price because of the last time out flunk at Chelmsford last winter, but was drawn wide and can be excused. 3lbs above last winning mark but got close from higher in the weights at Newmarket when last seen on turf, so looks a dangerous one to rule out too readily.

Beaten by a neck last time out at Lingfield at the end of April, he was at the rear of the field for most of the race before starting to really power through from maybe just over a furlong out. Had that been over today's distance, he may have won. So, taking that into account and despite a 1lb rise, he could go close again.

Shamrock Bay appeals as it has won twice. No headgear reached for (i.e., not a nutter), and gelding may allow for better settling overall. Great chance.

Masar gelding who won two of his five starts on good to firm ground on turf last year at this level. He has been held in both of his two starts since a 165-day absence, which came in tougher C3 races. He should be ready to roll third time up today. He is down in class, and he is now 1 lb below his last winning mark, so he is in with a shout here.
