Will appreciate the good ground that is set to be on offer at Ascot, with history at this course and crucially, form lines that tie in with other horses in the race (although you couldn't tell this on the odds). Much better chance that 28/1.

Given the fact that Gstaad has got a precocious pedigree (related to Vandeek) and the taking nature of his debut, switching off the rail late to pick up the well baced favourite for same connections. Great chance here for a top outfit.

Connections do pretty well with their youngsters and i doubt there will be much difference with Power Blue here. Was bought off other owners after coming second to high class Albert Einstein, looks a great bet at the odds.

Favourite unlikely to be suited by this drop back to the minimum trip, whereas those that fought it out with Beerwah subsequently have gone close in decent races. Get's my vote here

Starlust won at the Breeder's Cup last year and looked really good on that fast ground over there. With 4 places on offer, fast ground on the menu and the in form Rossa Ryan/Ralph Beckett combo, this looks a good each way bet.

Got the splits towards the end of the race at Ripon last time and wasn't unduly pushed by the jockey when staying on. Is of interest as a result and figures as the bet here.

Missed the derby after a bullish approach by the trainer - if remaining in similiar fettle, he must have a great chance here despite the favourites credentials.

Daring Legend went close in a very warm race at York last time and if recreating that effort, surely has to go close here at a course (where like York, you need to get this distance well). Has to be the pick here.

Had to come wide last time at Catterick but then rapidly got up some steam and went down by less than a length in the end. Back to win here.

Hibernate is gradually being upped in trip by new connections and i think that the pedigree suggests that this horse will continue to be suited by increases in trip

Mullins and Moore have won the past two runnings of this race and there is no reason to suspect that the combo can't do it here again...this gelding certainly prefers flat racing to obstacles and will have a great chance.

Taking a big leap of faith here, but the Bethell yard hasn't been too bad with newcomers and is related to decent horses over this distance (Imperial Fighter jumps to mind). Great chance to place
