Makes handicap debut on reappearance, just his 3rd run. Impressed on debut last June, beating several last time out winners, and that form has since been franked. So on that run, this mark looks a decent one to start out from. Stable in form, so must have a chance.

The draw is my big worry here. He has the form, and I'd be more confident with a better position. Should at least make the top 4.

Beauld As Brass is on a roll, having won four in a row over 1m2f, including a comfortable victory at Leicester just six days ago. He’s up in class today but remains on a competitive mark of 73, and with Pat Cosgrave back on board, he could continue his winning streak if he handles the step up in grade.

Stayed on well when taking a class 4 handicap over C/D on seasonal return and has run well in this race on more than one ocassion in the past. Has form @ this class 3 level, still well treated here off a mark of 83, under used jockey retains ride and shrewd trainer is best here with his 4yo plus last 5 seasons, making current 12/1 solid Ew value in the race.

Unlucky loser last time. No luck in running, having to wait for a gap which came too late, then having to switch. Looked a decent race with the one finishing behind him in 4th, winning next time out.

The horse has been running over hurdles with limited success. However, it has kept him race fit, and I do like his last bit of turf flat form when beating Sir Lowry's Pass, who has since been a very impressive winner this season. Admittedly, that was on heavy ground, though he handles any conditions and is only 6lb higher. That win was over course and distance. The yard is in great form, and hopefully, he can run well.

Has achieved a hat-trick of consecutive wins (111), and even with a raised mark (+3lbs), I think on current form he represents good value. Conditions look to be ideal for him tomorrow.

Sovereign Sea is a 4-year-old trained by Roger Varian, scheduled to run at Newbury. With just two starts so far, the filly is relatively unexposed, finishing 2nd on debut and not progressing in her next run. Her return to the track after a break suggests she may have strengthened and matured, and the step into handicap company looks a logical progression. Roger Varian is a trainer noted for improving lightly raced horses, and the booking of Ray Dawson is competent. At odds around 13.00, she represents a potential value pick if showing progress in this third career start.

Had shown little on turf until this season, putting in back-to-back placed efforts. Has crept up the weights but now has the look of an improving horse.

Some good value to be had in this race. None more than this selection, who has run well over good to firm in the last two outings. Has gone up 4 lbs for the latest win over this trip, but today's jockey takes 3 lbs off.

Small each-way tip for this horse who is having a first run back after a rest but this horse has run well fresh previously so that offers some hope of a good run. Trip and ground conditions ideal today.

Won first 2 runs on the flat early last year and performed well LTO when 7th of 14 at Lingfield last month. Should welcome the dropped mark.
