Excellent form figures on the all weather with three wins from last six starts and placed on the other 3 occasions. Yet to win on the turf in 8 runs but form and a weak race could mean selection gets its first win.

This is a fast ground-loving C&D winner that is well drawn, so is going to be hard to keep out of the frame, I suspect. He also has a good recent run under his belt (when 2nd), and he's only 1lb above his last winning mark. All four of his wins have been on fast ground, and there aren't many horses in this race that are either in good form or looking like they are well handicapped, so I suspect this horse will be bang there at the finish.

Was beaten less than a length when finishing third over 7f at Chelmsford last month and followed up with a close third (by a neck) over the same track and trip eight days ago. Is bottom weight and Shay Farmer's 3lb claim should help further. Yard in good form recently. Should be involved at the finish.

Has been running well on the all-weather last winter and, after a break, ran a close third at Kempton last month. Stays on the same mark, now switches to the turf.

The Stan Moore-trained Saturnalia hasn't won since August 2023. However, the 5-year-old Holy Roman Emperor gelding is well in off a mark of 67, with Ashley Lewis taking off his 5lb claim. Reportedly, he has been in good form at home and has each-way claims.

Did not finish the year well last year but is on a good mark. His third place of nine at Brighton last August at a lower mark than this and better grade sets a decent standard if ready to roll.

English Spirit was 3rd off 67 at York last year. He reverted to the AW over the winter and ran reasonably well. He has had one prep on the turf last month, which will have set him up for this off today's mark of 63.

Take an EW chance on 5yo gelding Racing Demon here. He is back on his last winning mark from last September and should be much sharper here today on 2nd run after a 5 months break. Goes well here at Newbury and shouldn't be far away.

They are stepping this one back up to 8f with the same 3lbs claimer on board. Worth a small each-way saver bet for the 4 places available.
