First Impression of 32Red

By Luke Bradshaw Lee - This review will reflect the service offered at the time of writing. I signed up on the desktop version of 32Red, but also used the mobile version to compare, as well as downloading the 32Red app. 

32Red feels very clean. Often, bookie homepages immediately direct you to in-play markets, but that’s not the  case with 32Red, just its main sports and a single football match. It definitely lets you settle as a punter. The usual menu of sports sites down the left hand side of the screen, and there is a handy link to live streaming, also.

32Red Live Betting

As mentioned above, in the main menu on the home page is an option for in-play betting, rather than it sitting on the homepage. Head here and I’m greeted by an impressive selection of sports including cycling, esports and padel, so not just the usual football, tennis et al. Most events, regardless of the sport in question have in-game stats to follow and help inform betting. Overall, 32Red doesn’t quite make our list of best bookmakers for in-play betting, but they are not far off, and it’s still an excellent part of the 32Red product.

32Red Live Streaming

You can find streamed events really easily by heading to the Live Streaming part of the 32Red’s main menu. You have to be logged in to watch, and you can actually swap the stream for an “event ticker” ( a sort of minute by minute report) or the in-game stats. The quality of the streams are great and covered selected football, tennis and basketball matches, as well as a few others.

32Red Betting Odds

After looking through some comparison sites as well as a deeper dive across alternative bookmakers, I can see that the odds offered at 32Red are pretty good, overall. We checked football, tennis and table tennis for in-play odds, plus horse racing and a few other sports for pre-match stuff. They’re very competitive, and a must for line shoppers out there. 

32Red Betting App or Mobile Site 

32Red’s app is fantastic. The app features better graphics than the desktop version although it’s worth pointing out the mobile-version of the site is still a great option. There are plenty of promotions to take advantage of on the app, with regular price boosts.

32Red Football Betting

32Red offer a very broad range of football markets, with odds that sit right up there with some of the best going. There’s obviously the major leagues and competitions, but punters can also find domestic leagues as broad and varied as Algeria, Peru, Northern Ireland and Syria and, as mentioned, some selected games are live streamed through the 32Red site or app. There are so many different markets per match.

Bet Builder 

There’s an absolute load of markets within their bet builder feature. There’s a decent enough selection of markets within this, although I like to see a few more (there are no player fouls committed, or player tackles), but to be honest, these might be added closer to the time of kick-off. From a product and functionality perspective, it works really well.

Bonuses

This is pretty limited to be honest. Head to the Promotions page on the site and two of the three “promotions” are live streaming and cash out, more product features than promotions, really. The only one that you could call a promotion is for horse racing.

Cash Out

Cashout is a very important betting feature for punters these days so it's crucial that bookies integrate this feature into their mobile betting apps. 32Red have done this well, allowing their customers to instantly cash out their bets on any device they like.

32Red Horse Racing

The horse racing section at 32Red is very good. You can live stream selected races in the UK (50% of the races on the day I double checked), just look for the small  icon. There’s the usual selection of Winner, Each Way, Forecast and Tricast, all at impressive odds. There are extra places on selected races and you can use 32Red’s acca bonus when making your selections. You can also get a casino bonus for betting on US racing. You can get daily horse racing price boosts here, which is fantastic, and that goes some way to making up for the fact that 32Red doesn’t offer Best Odds Guaranteed.

32Red US Sports Betting

A full range of American Sports is available. Of the major leagues in the US, there’s no NFL season currently, but it’s good to see some futures and outrights, regardless. 

American Football Betting

32Red make sure that they have the best NFL odds out there, and rely on that rather than any bells or whistles. Because of the brand’s casino heritage don’t dismiss its sports offering, which is sharp, considered and has a brilliant app that holds up against the other best basketball betting sites. Baseball Betting

32Red’s baseball section is excellent, and only just misses out on our top baseball betting sites. What really stands out is the number of markets per game. There’s the standard stuff (result, spread, although it’s called handicap, and total runs), but also a bunch of other betting possibilities, particularly player based markets. Here you’ll find batter props, pitcher props, home runs, hits, RBIs, bases and more. A really impressive set-up.

Ice Hockey Betting

Again, the focus applied to its US sports output is really good, and that continues with the ice hockey here. There are international leagues, in Sweden, South Korea, the UK and more, but obviously the NHL is the main draw. As well as being able to use the bet builder feature, there are also “Pre-packs” here, essentially pre-made bet builders, and there’s a ton of them. This is on top of plenty of markets and player props.

32Red Greyhound Betting

32Red has a full offering of UK and Irish races, and of the seven different meets I saw, all of them featured live streaming (all clearly visible with a green play icon on each). You can sort through quick picks, build a racecard or go through their ante post markets. Each race has race markets, plus forecast and tricast, and you can always opt for the current odds or starting price.

32Red Darts Betting

There are markets for the World Championships, despite being months away, plus plenty of options for the Premier League, Modus Series and PDC European Tour, with a healthy number of markets per match. 32Red Snooker Betting

On top of that, the odds look quite competitive, and that goes for outrights on next year’s World Championships, as well as upcoming matches in some smaller tournaments. Although the odds are generally good across the board, there is definitely a lack of markets. For one selected match 32Red has result, handicap, correct score and total frame markets. There isn’t anything for race to (frames) or any more novelty bets like odd/even total frames etc. but this may just be down to the time of year and how quiet the season is.

It’s hard to find a cricket match that they don’t cover, to be honest. On top of that, you can also live stream cricket matches on their site.

32Red Tennis Betting

By James Banting - Overall, I think the tennis betting at 32Red is nice. Across the site it’s definitely one of the better sports in terms of in-play coverage. The odds are good, especially the in-play ones. If they could add in more markets, and some tennis-specific promotions, they’d definitely be closer to getting into the top 10 tennis betting sites on OLBG.

32Red Golf Betting

By James Banting - In terms of current events, this does look pretty good, with lesser competitions – such as the Sentry Tournament of Champions – listed among odds for the majors, Ryder and Solheim Cups. On top of that, you can select specific holes, see their layout, and how the current players on that hole are going round, as well as some specials regarding major wins by player. This is very good, overall.

Betting on handball at 32Red looks great. What is nice to see, and not something everyone does, is pretty much as many women’s tournaments as men’s, with the Women's World Championships, European League, Women’s Bundesliga, and more. That’s on top of me’s leagues in Norway, Romania, Sweden and more. Handball is increasingly popular and 32Red looks to be struggling in terms of providing a platform for punters to bet on various handball events and tournaments worldwide. 

Cycling Betting

32Red offers betting on cycling for sports bettors who like to dabble in cycling betting, and comparing it with others out there it’s what we’d expect. There isn’t a load of markets, but that’s true of anywhere to be honest. What you can get is odds on next year’s Tour de France winner.

Aussie Rules Football Betting

As far as 32Red is concerned, their event coverage is pretty standard – they have most parts covered. Their markets and odds are good, but not as great as others, but overall they are still a solid option.

Political Betting

There is decent enough event coverage for UK and US politics, including General Elections, next party leaders and next Prime Minister, with similar markets for the US. But it stops there. There are no by-election or local betting markets, or nothing from anywhere else in the world.

Entertainment and Specials Betting

By Jake Ashton - This is pretty poor. There’s a market for Sports Personality of the Year, but that’s it. No other TV shows, no sports awards shows, usual market type stuff (the next James Bond, for example) and, most surprisingly, none of the big film/TV awards odds such as the Oscars, Baftas or Emmys.

Esports Betting

There is very good betting available for esports markets, with markets available on games such as DOTA 2, Counter-Strike, League of Legends and FIFA as well as many others. It’s great in terms of the number of games featured, and competitions, but the number of markets per competition falls down quite a bit. Esports betting is of course not as traditional as normal betting markets but it's popularity is increasing as gaming grows in size year-by-year. 32Red has no virtual sports betting at the time of review.

32Red Account Opening Process

A reassuringly easy process. At the top-right of the screen 32Red has their “Join Now” button. Bettors just need to select this and follow the simple steps as guided through. You’ll be asked for the usual information – name, date of birth, address etc – and once complete be sent a verification email. Clicking this from your inbox will redirect you to the site, and then you’re free to get betting.

Navigation and user experience [desktop v mobile]

The 32Red app is very good. The desktop version of the site is better than most, but the app does exactly what you want and that does not feel too far removed when you switch from one device to the next, but also being product-led, and designed to suit its purpose, rather than just be a mobile version. The 32Red app feels really clean, and is super simple to navigate. 

Placing a bet

This section should only really highlight if there are issues, as the process is almost identical on every site. Within a few minutes of signing up to 32Red I placed a couple of bets on different sports, one of which took advantage of the welcome offer, and I used their bet builder feature, which was very indeed. 

Managing your account

As mentioned above, the design really helps this along. On the desktop version, it’s stuff to the  left of the screen. On the app, it’s all at the bottom, with just the login at the top. I haven’t experienced any issues logging in, or finding customer service options, either. Overall, it feels like 32Red has got this part nailed.

32Red Responsible Gambling Features

As with all online betting companies, responsible gambling should be and will be an essential element of the service provided.

Expect KYC procedures and document supply as a matter-of-course, to confirm your account after you have deposited a certain level of funds and in the event of any large wins.

You can set limits for yourself across depositing options and daily staking options too, so you can set your levels and keep control of your gambling.

This protects your account from being accessed by someone other than you and ensures you control your gambling activity. 32Red have a legal obligation to question your activity if they believe it to be suspicious.

32Red Review Summary 

32Red is one of those sportsbooks that’s worth having an account with, even if it isn’t your absolute go-to.

Most, if not all sports are covered here, with niche sports like padel, beach volleyball, lacrosse and pesapallo included, as well as a few more. All of these sports are covered pretty well in terms of event coverage and market depth although there are a few exceptions, which is fair enough.

Some of the sports are exceptional. 32Red is among the best in the country for five different categories based on our own data, and is the single best bookie for betting on motorsports.  

There is a lack of promotions, but the overall service, product and betting experience is so good that that won’t really matter. I can see plenty of customers loving this, and staying with it as a loyal customer as a result.
