Previous favourite Ronnie O'Sullivan now out to 18/1
Ronnie O'Sullivan is now out to 18/1 to win the award with after his World Snooker Championship win back in May.
The Rocket won 18-13 against Judd Trump to win a modern-era equalling record 7th Championship at the big event.
This instantly made bookmakers put O'Sullivan as the 11/4 favourite to win the SPOTY award which he has never won before despite his popularity.
The fact that the World Championship win was so far away though harms his chances with the majority of the public not remembering that far back in the season.
