The Last Dinner Party have shortened into 2/1 joint favourites to win 2024 Mercury Prize

With betting markets continuing to be offered on the 2024 Mercury Prize, betting sites have now shortened The Last Dinner Party into joint favourites at 2/1 with betting sites for their album Prelude To Ecstasy.

The Last Dinner Party released their debut record back in February and it went straight into Number One in the UK Charts with massive performances at Glastonbury and TRNSMT following that release this year.

Betting odds for the Mercury Prize opened up with The Last Dinner Party sat behind Charli XCX as 3/1 second favourites, but a surge in betting has seen them now move alongside the '360' singer as joint favourite in the market.

William Hill's latest odds gives an implied probability of 25% that either The Last Dinner Party or Charli XCX win the 2024 Mercury Prize with Leeds band English Teacher following behind the pair in the betting odds.

Charli XCX previously was out on her own at the top of the betting market

Brat summer is well and truly here with 2024's music scene dominated by Charli XCX's latest album release that has been a massive viral hit in both the UK and USA.

Despite the success of the album when it comes to viral hits and streams, 'Brat' never hit the number one album spot in the UK and debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 in America.

Charli's latest release from the deluxe edition of the album is a remixed version of 'Guess' which stars Billie Eilish as a feature artist and the song became Charli XCX's second number-one single after her feature on Icona Pop's I Love It.
