The European Broadcasting Union said that Israel can compete at this year's Eurovision

Despite calls to exclude Israel from this year's Eurovision Song Contest, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) have confirmed their inclusion this year.

Petitions had been created to exclude Israel from the event with comparisons made to Russia's ban back in 2022 but the EBU conducted their review.

The EBU's statement read, ""Our governing bodies did review the participants list for the 2024 contest and agreed that the Israeli public broadcaster KAN met all the competition rules for this year and can participate, as it has for the past 50 years."
