Constituency Information

South Antrim is a parliamentary constituency in the UK, currently represented in the House of Commons by Paul Girvan from the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP).

Traditionally a strong Unionist area, it was consistently held by the Conservative and Unionist party from 1886 to 1974. Following gas significant electoral shifts and competitive elections between the DUP and the Ulster Unionist Party since 2000, the seat changed hands several times. Danny Kinahan from the Ulster Unionist Party won the seat in 2015, but it was later reclaimed by the DUP's Paul Girvan in the 2017 general election.
