Luke Williams was appointed the new Swansea manager on the 5th of January, 2024, Williams replaces Michael Duff, whose time in charge went poorly (PL21 W6 D6 L9).

Williams is a former Swans coach who worked under Russell Martin and returns to South Wales after a successful period as manager of Notts County, who he guided into Division Two from the National League. He becomes the 19th permanent Swansea boss since 2000 and the 45th of all time.

After a move to Barcelona and seeing out his playing career at Feyenoord, he took over as their coach for four seasons. He returned to Glasgow as the Rangers manager in 2021; however, results did not go well, and he was let go in November 2022.
