Best Betting Site for Next Sheffield Wednesday Manager Betting

There is a huge range of UK Bookmakers to choose from, but only very few that offer next-manager betting, if at all - As we have covered every club management change over the seasons, looking for betting odds on who the next club manager will be, we have found the following betting sites to be the most reliable and quickest to get odds up for the next manager at most clubs.

Who Will be the Next Sheffield Wednesday Manager

The bookmakers quoted the following managers before Danny Rohl was appointed at Hillsborough in the Autumn of 2023. Bookies may revisit some of these managers if results do not go well for the new boss.

Mark Warburton

The ex-Brentford, Glasgow Rangers, Nottingham Forest and QPR manager worked most recently with David Moyes at West Ham. He left East London as he wanted to look for a more senior role, which we presume means that he wants a managerial position. He arrived late to the betting market but was as short as 8/1.

Neil Warnock

Neil Warnock is 74 years old, and it had been thought that his football management days were over, but the bookies liked his chances of returning to a dugout (10/1). If he had been appointed it would have been his 20th permanent appointment.

Nathan Jones

Nathan Jones is closely associated with Luton Town, where he has been manager twice; he has struggled when he has moved away from Kenilworth Road. In 2019, he was appointed at Stoke City but lasted just 38 games, winning only six of them, and he then had an even shorter spell as Southampton manager for 14 games in the 2022/23 season. His odds fluctuated between 10/1 and 20/1  to be appointed at Hillsborough.

Carlos Carvalhal

The Portuguese manager was quoted at 16/1 for a return to Yorkshire. He was last in charge of the Owls between 2015 and 2017, leading them to the playoffs twice. Carvalhal is currently managing Celta in La Liga.

Lee Bullen

The current Ayr United manager, Lee Bullen, has previously managed Sheffield Wednesday on three occasions in a caretaker capacity. At odds of 12/1, his name was towards the head of the Sheffield Wednesday betting before Rohl got the gig.

John Eustace

Having been sacked by Birmingham City, Eustace was available at 16/1. He did an okay job with the Blues, but it seemed that the ambitious new owners wanted a higher-profile man in charge.

Dean Smith

Dean Smith had been touted as replacing Gareth Southgate when he leaves the National team job; however, recent managerial spells have taken the shine off his career. He built his reputation at Walsall and Brentford and was appointed at the Midland's biggest club, Aston Villa. He guided the club into the EPL in 2019 before being replaced in November 2021 with the team struggling. Since Villa, he has had a year at Norwich City, which saw the Canaries unable to compete for promotion, and then eight games at Leicester City, who were relegated from the EPL under his leadership.

Steve Cotterill

Cotterill has been in charge of 10 football clubs. His most successful spells came at  Cheltenham Town, Bristol City and Notts County. 20/1 to be appointed Owls boss in October 2023.

Leam Richardson

After starting his managerial career at Accrington Stanley, Leam Richardson joined Wigan Athletic to work under Paul Cook. When Cook left for another position, Richardson stayed on as Caretaker boss before being appointed permanently in April 2021. In the  2021/22 season, Wigan flourished under his management style, and they won the League One Championship by two points from Rotherham United. Richardson was named Manager of the Season for League One. The following year, in the Championship, the club struggled, and Richardson was sacked with the club in the relegation zone. He was an outsider at around 25/1 for the Owls position when Munoz was let go.

Slaven Bilic

Another manager with a packed CV is Slaven Bilic. The Croatian-born Bilic has now been in charge of eight club sides and the Croatian Under 21 and Nationals sides. Only some positions have worked out, and he could do with a settled period at one club to help rebuild his reputation.
