Neil Warnock is the early favourite with UK Betting Sites to become the next Sheffield Wednesday manager with odds now up over who will replace Xisco Munoz as boss of the Owls.

Xisco Munoz was sacked as manager of the Owls after his team failed to win any of the 10 Championship games that he was in charge for and in that time they only picked up two points.

Neil Warnock is now the 4/1 favourite to take over at Hillsborough next with the former Sheffield United manager without a club after leaving Huddersfield back in September.

BetVictor say there's a 20% chance that Warnock takes over at Sheffield Wednesday next in what could be a risky appointment with those ties to the other side of Sheffield.

Sheffield Wednesday are currently going through their worst ever start to a season with just two points picked up from their opening 10 games in the Championship.

The fans had been on Munoz back in recent weeks and Tuesday night's 1-0 defeat away at West Brom was the final straw with the club deciding to part ways with the Spaniard.
