World Masters Darts Format & Schedule

How does the Masters Darts Tournament work ?

The Winmau sponsored World Masters Darts Tournament features the top 24 darts players in the PDC Order of Merit following the PDC World Championship. These 24 players are joined by 8 players who qualify from the Preliminary Rounds.

The Preliminary Rounds played in a round robin and then knockout format are open to non-qualified PDC Tour Card holders, the top eight players from the PDC's Secondary and Global Affiliate Tours and four players from the Junior Darts Corporation.

  • First Round: Best of 5 sets
  • Second Round: Best of 7 sets
  • Quarter Finals: Best of 7 sets
  • Semi Finals: Best of 9 sets
  • Final: Best of 11 sets
