Premier League Darts Favourites

How often do Favourites win in the Darts Premier League?

Below you can see a chart which displays the winning percentages of the favourites in each of the last ten Premier League tournaments. You can see that it jumps up and down and there is no real consistency although the last two seasons have seen over 60% of favourites winning. Only two seasons have seen more underdogs win than favourites and those were in 2015 and 2020.

Do short-priced Favourites win more often than not?

In this chart, we have broken down the favourites into odds ranges so you can see how they compare. Short priced, 1.09 or shorter you would expect a near 100% here and that sits at 92.86% so that is close. Surprisingly, there are only three other ranges where the win rate sits within the implied percentage based on the odds, those are between 2.00 & 2.99 (34.27%), 3.00 to 3.99 (26.80%) and 6.00+ (13.46%).
