Constituency Information
Since 2015, Vicky Foxcroft of the Labour Party has represented the Lewisham Deptford constituency in the UK Parliament. Following the 2023 Periodic Review, it will undergo moderate boundary changes and be renamed Lewisham North for the next general election.

Established in 1974, this predominantly urban constituency has seen minimal alterations over the years. Historically, Deptford was a significant dockyard area associated with the Royal Navy and played a vital role in London’s import and export activities, particularly towards New Cross, which also housed major railway yards.
Politically, Lewisham Deptford has always been a Labour stronghold, with only three MPs from the party since its inception. It ranked as Labour's 23rd safest seat and 9th in London by the 2015 elections. In the 2016 EU referendum, 75.4% of its constituents voted to remain.
