2025 United States Grand Prix
The United States Grand Prix was first held back in 1908 in Savannah. In the following years, it was held in Milwaukee, Santa Monica, San Francisco, Riverside and Sebring.
The race found a home at the Watkins Glen International circuit between 1961 and 1980, then after an absence returned to the Phoenix Street circuit for three years. After another absence, it was held between 2000-2007 at Indianapolis.
The race had yet another absence between 2008 and 2011 before returning in 2012 to its new home, the Circuit of The Americas in Austin.
How long is the United States Grand Prix?
The track at COTA is quite a long one with a lap of 5.5 km (3.4 miles) which means there are only 56 laps during the GP.
A lap consists of twenty corners with a long back straight between turns eleven and twelve. Turn one is one of the widest turns on the F1 calendar where you can expect plenty of overtaking.
