For F1 betting tips for the Canadian Grand Prix, use these free tips to see who our tipsters are backing to win in Montreal as well as set the fastest lap.

2025 Canadian Grand Prix

The Canadian Grand Prix has been held at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal since 1983. It has been raced each year with the exception of 1987 & 2009.

There seems to be some attraction to the GP. In 2005 it was the third most-watched sporting event in the world. The Super Bowl and UCL Final were the top two.

There was an agreement signed back in 2021 which guaranteed a 10-year extension meaning a Montreal Grand Prix till at least 2031.

How long is the Canadian Grand Prix?

There are 55 laps throughout the Canadian Grand Prix, each lap consisting of 4.3 km (2.7 miles). The total race distance is 305 km (189 miles).

There are just fourteen corners at the circuit, the first section being the most technically testing. There is a long straight with the final two tight turns which lead the drivers onto the home straight.

The final turn is known as the 'Wall of Champions' because the drivers get so close to the wall and many champions have gone into the wall!

The likes of Damon Hill, Michael Schumacher and Jacques Villeneuve all came unstuck at the final turn and found themselves in the wall during the 1999 GP.
