2025 São Paulo Grand Prix

Up until 2013, the São Paulo Grand Prix, previously known as the Brazilian Grand Prix was best known as the curtain closer for the F1 season.

Since 2014, the Abu Dhabi GP has moved and now the São Paulo GP is the fourth from the last GP of the season.

First held in 1972, the São Paulo GP has been ever-present since with all bar 10 of the GPs being held at Interlagos.

The exceptions were held at the Autódromo Internacional Nelson Piquet.

Since 1990, all GPs have been staged at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace, better known as Interlagos.

How long is the São Paulo Grand Prix?

A lap at Interlagos is one of the shortest on the F1 calendar with only the Red Bull Ring shorter.

A lap is just 4.3 km (2.6 miles) which means during the GP there are a total of 71 laps.
