2025 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is one of the newest GPs on the F1 calendar with its introduction in 2009. The Yas Marina Circuit was purposely built to host F1.
Yas Marina took 11 years to develop and as a whole cost around $40 billion for this tourist hot spot.
As well as the F1 circuit, there is a host of hotels and for adventure, there is a golf course, water park, beach, concert arena and nightclub.
How long is the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix?
Up until 2020, the Abu Dhabi GP consisted of a total of 55 laps with each lap being 5.5 km (3.4 miles).
However, alterations were made ahead of the 2021 GP with a chicane being removed, a hairpin added, and turns widened which means the race is now 58 laps long with each lap being 5.3 m (3.2 miles).

Who has won the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix? Max Verstappen's win in 2020 ended a run of six consecutive wins for Mercedes. Four of those Mercedes wins went to Lewis Hamilton who is the leading driver here with a total of five wins.
Lewis is just one win ahead of Max Verstappen whose win in 2023 moved him onto four wins having won the last four GPs. That win in 2023 also moved Red Bull ahead of Mercedes with seven wins compared to Mercedes's six.
