2026 Hungarian Grand Prix
In 1986, the Hungarian Grand Prix was added to the F1 calendar here at the Hungaroring and has been ever-present since.
The one and only other Hungarian GP was back in 1936, which was held at Népliget.
How long is the Hungarian Grand Prix?
The Hungarian Grand Prix lasts for a total of 70 laps, each lap is 4.3 km (2.7 miles).
During the race, the drivers will cover a total of 306 km (190 miles).
During a lap, the drivers will have just fourteen corners to negotiate, the last three being the most technically difficult.
There is a lack of straights, so teams more often opt for a downforce package; the track resembles a karting track.

When is the Hungarian Grand Prix?
- Friday 24th July - Practice 1 & 2
- Saturday 25th July - Practice 3 & Qualifying
